New Jasper Fforde is out!! Finally, a new Thursday Next novel :-) :-)

Boos and yays

1) Boo: Ordered more Hemparoos, got an e-mail this morning saying they only had 1 left in stock.

2) Boo: Didn't get to get the 2 July issue of the New Yorker yesterday and for once Comag had restocked everywhere early on Wednesday! Missed 2 good articles :(

3) Boo: Lost an earring somewhere (cheap one at least)

4) Yay: Wore Aliza all afternoon, she was great and my back didn't hurt a bit! (OK, teeny bit sore at the end, but no specific sore points--just a kind of 'used these muscles a bit too much' feeling. And I was fine 5 minutes after taking her off.) In fact the only real problem was the amount she drooled on the wrap ;) (Although Didymos does boast that its dyes and fabrics are "safe for saliva". Just that now I have to wash it because she got a bit of milk on too.)

Need to get Neil to get a pic of me for an icon ;-)

Greatest name

There's a writer (I mention this because he had a piece in last week's New Yorker) named Shalom Auslander.

In English, that means "Welcome Foreigner". (Well, "welcome" is one meaning for "shalom". "Auslander" is definitely "foreigner" in German though.)

I wonder if his parents thought about this when they named him....
