Jewellery help

OK, London shoppers, where are good places to buy earrings? I'd like something a bit better than £4 tat (I know where to get that :) ) but not expensive as I'm too prone to losing them. I don't do massive earrings but I do like them to show and they're one of the few times I get to pick anything interesting, so don't make too many assumptions about my taste ;) Any tips? I'm too impatient to go poking round 6,000 different places, not that it's practical anyway.
