I'm still recovering from a cold *hack, hack* The weather was nicer today though so we went for a drive and then a walk in the park at Sands Point. it was a lovely day and the view out across the Sound was beautiful, although it wasn't 100% clear so I didn't take any pics (sorry!)
Tomorrow we're taking Aliza to the Bronx Zoo. No pandas, but lots of other good animals :-)
I was going to make blintzes--I bought the cheese and everything! But my mother's recipe card has disappeared :-( I'll have to try to find a recipe that comes close to my memory of it. (I do remember that the recipe is based on 2.5 lbs pot cheese for the filling. I'll call my grandma tomorrow, maybe she has it as well.) I loooove blintzes but they don't sell the right kind of cheese in the UK, the cottage cheese is all the creamy small curd kind, instead of pot or farmer (big dry curds).
