So much for the grobag

She absolutely hated it--wouldn't stop fussing. I think it was her legs--she was kicking around inside.

As soon as I took her out of it and put a sleepsuit on her, she stopped fussing. Put her back in the basket with her sheet and blanket and she went right to sleep.

Ah well... something to save for eBay I guess :) Can't return it since it's effectively been used.

(Unless anyone reading this wants an effectively unused 0-6 month 1.0 tog grobag, flowered.)

I guess all babies are different - Millie loves hers! Not got an actual Grobag - I got cheaper alternatives from Matalan and the like! ISTR that I put her in hers during the day for about a week before trying it at night for her to get used to.

Did you not put her in it in a sleepsuit? What was she wearing? Might have been that she didn't like the feel of the material on bare legs. Millie goes in hers in a vest/bodysuit + sleepsuit or pjs.

If you still have the packaging you sould try returning it - say you got it out and realised it was the wrong size or something. If they only offer you a replacement, a brand new in original packaging bag will probably make you a bit extra on ebay! though you're unlikely to get the full whack back.

The guide said that at the temperature in our room she only needed a bodysuit...
ironically last night it was colder than usual (dipped under 20 after I changed her) and in a 1.0 tog she might have needed a sleepsuit.

I might try her in a sleepsuit underneath just to see if that was it. She was kicking around and seemed unhappy at the way the material was loose, though.

remember - guides are just that - guides!

I'm surprised it only recommends a bodysuit in a 1.0tog bag though. Our house isn't cold but she still has 2 layers in a 3.5tog (I think!) bag and this is a child who hates being slightly warmer than necessary!

I think she was unsure about a bag at first but she soon realised it was nice and cosy. She was used to being wrapped up tight in a blanket when she was in her basket so i guess it was a bit of a change!

When you say Grobags I think of bags of soil that we used to grow strawberrys with when I was younger!

She is so CUTE!!
