FileSalvage can't find ANY of the missing files.
What puzzles me is that I had to rebuild my system in mid-March; I installed this software then. I don't remember deleting it or moving it to DVD (and none of the DVDs here have it). The entire folder is gone. So I must have deleted it by mistake. I don't remember doing it, but I must have, only answer. But I'm surprised that FileSalvage could find no trace of ANY of the archives. It will sometimes recover partial files.
Among other things, my copy of Office was in there! :( I have reasonable substitutes for most of MS-Office (no Excel, which is annoying, but I don't use Excel that much) but it's very good to have. And my, er, dubious copy of Photoshop *coughs*
(I know, I know... but it's so expensive and I don't use it that much. The thing is, it was what we used in the digital media classes I took in college, so it's what I know.)
