Eye's gone down a bit, finally. Now it's just all irritated. I have no idea what causes this (it's happened before). It only ever happens to my right eye, there's no sign of a bug bite, and the eye itself is fine; it's just the lids. I took my contacts out to be sure but it actually made things worse--my eyes were sensitive to fumes (particularly whatever's burning off the bottom of our oven) and kept watering all the time!
Nothing else to report, life is dull, the cat puked on the carpet again.
Oh yes, I bought The Sims 2 yesterday. It seems to be playing OK on my laptop (I heard varying reports of playability on G4s); in fact it's better than Neil's PC, which reinforces my suspicion that something's not quite right with the PC. Other people with equally specced PCs haven't had any trouble, but when I tried, it kept having random hangs. It's not super-fast on my machine, but it's more than playable.

My left eye keeps playing up for no reason at all that I can ascertain. I think it's a weird hayfever thing. Maybe one of your sinuses is getting worse hit than the other?
