Picky husbands!

Neil is the world's pickiest vegetable eater.

He will eat:
Carrots
Onions
Mushrooms
Tomatoes (cooked)
Peppers
Potatoes
Sweet potatoes
Peas (including sugar snaps and mangetouts)
Beans

He will not eat:
Any brassicas (Cabbage, sprouts, turnip, swede, kohlrabi, etc)
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Parsnips
Leeks
Asparagus
Artichokes
Aubergine
Anything green and leafy, raw or cooked
Radishes
Cucumbers
Celery and celeriac
Jerusalem artichokes
Beets
Courgettes

(he hasn't necessarily tried all of these, he just refuses to eat them whether he's tried them before or not)

I don't think he'll eat pumpkin or squash, but I haven't checked. Same with finocchio. And he's of the school of bad old English cooking where you simply boil or steam a vegetable and eat it for the nutrition. I can't do that--I won't eat a vegetable unless it tastes good. And it can be hard to do that with his repertory.

What gets me is that he then complains about me not serving vegetables enough... well I might do it more if I had more choice...

No comments about bitchy wives please. :-)

Hmmm, since when do corgettes taste good? They are bitter and not too nice.

And half the things you mentioned Neil won't eat can give you chronic wind, so he might just have learned by experience...

That's certainly why I stopped eating radishes and watercress, both of which are yummy.

I don't like everything on the list myself--I was being comprehensive to make a point :)

And trust me it's nothing to do with wind!
