My glasses and contacts aren't nearly strong enough--might explain why I have so much trouble with highway signs :-) (in fact I'm probably not legal to drive with my current glasses--my contacts are a little better, though, before you worry!)
Looked at the prescription after the optometrist filled out my card. I am now:
L: -5.50 / -0.75 / 5 (corrects to 20/25)
R: -6.75 / -1.25 / 10 (corrects to a whopping 20/30)
I have toric lenses for both eyes now. Oh joy.
Lucky I didn't get new frames: the lenses alone were $159 (regular high-index. They have new super-thin lenses, but those are $259, and I just don't wear my glasses enough to justify that.)
Now I know there are people with much worse vision than me but mine is bad enough already thanks!
