I'm currently having a panic attack the size of Mount McKinley. I was expecting Neil's visa interview letter to arrive while we were gone. It hasn't. However, we DO have a card for a missed special delivery. The delivery office is closed until 7:00 tomorrow, so I am going to be in a state of panic until I go and get it. This is actually the worst possible outcome. If I definitely hadn't got it, I could ask if there's a way to check case status (general USCIS case status barfs on the case number, possibly because it's DCF and not handled through them; London Embassy website only has an online check for non-immigrant visas). If not, sigh, have to resubmit the paperwork. But at least I'd KNOW. Another 18 hours in limboland.

Oh god. Just for the topper we got our notice from the landlord. If this visa isn't sorted soon we are so screwed. *hyperventilates*

I ordered something and it didn't turn up before I left. I assumed I'd get a card and have to arrange redelivery.

I came home to a card from DPD. It was the usual: we'll reattempt tomorrow, call here, or write here to leave in a secure place. only, there was a note in the corner: "left parcel under recycling bin cover". i.e. on our step. I'm fuming. That is NOT secure, I didn't say it was OK and it violates their own rules. DPD is getting a nasty letter. They should have waited for me to call and arrange redelivery.
