batting .000 today

Aliza is crabby, possibly because she had jabs yesterday (HiB/MenC, she's behind schedule because i screwed up). She is very clingy. She was only happy when I put her on my hip and walked around with her.

I have a nasty cough and a runny nose. Why is it that I get EVERY cold?!

I need to go out today (get dinner, post parcel), but that isn't going to happen. So now I'll need to spend twice as much and send the item special delivery so it gets there before Easter. (1, I regard it as my responsibility to get an item out ASAP; 2, the recipient is moving over Easter weekend, and although she has mail redirect I want to be 100% it gets there. First class to Surrey does normally get there in a day but I want the guarantee.)

Also, I restarted metformin last week. I'll spare you the gory details, but ugh.

Since I'm sure all you Brits were muchly entertained by the Spitzer scandal I thought I'd bring you this. (Background: in 2004, the governor of New Jersey was forced to resign after having a gay affair and hiring his boyfriend, who was totally unqualified and not a US citizen, to be his security adviser).

It's from the Post (Murdoch tabloid and anti-Democrat to boot) so it's 1) sordid and 2) possibly not very accurate. But nonetheless I give you:
