Frankly, I think the EU shouldn't have backed down... if only to p*ss off the anti-EU-hysterics. (But I'm pro-metric anyway. Bad, bad American.) And really, is it that hard? Half a kilo is just over a pound, which is accurate enough when you're buying potatoes.

In retaliation, I shall make this LJ a metric only zone. I will even force myself to learn how to cope with distances in kilometres.

My right tooth (or the place where it was) still hurts. The left is fine and has been for a few days, but the right is making me continue my love affair with paracetamol/ibuprofen (I'm alternating for the sake of my liver). *mutters again about only being able to buy 16 tablets at once* Must remember to go to Costco in the US and get giant bottles of Tylenol and Advil :-)
