I just got an automated e-mail from Amazon saying it had been returned due to "too many failed delivery attempts".
Wtf? More like zero delivery attempts, since I'm usually here when the postie comes (unless he's exceptionally late) and no slip was left. And the address was correct. Sounds like a poor excuse, Royal Mail.
However, the item has now been classed as a return, and apparently refunded. But they re-sent the order, free of charge. Which may mean I got the books for free. AND I returned one of them anyway so I got a refund twice over. I feel guilty now! We'll see if their systems catch it, if they don't in a few days I'll contact them.
