For parents: BOGOF(*) Baby Soltan. 2 big bottles cost me £10! (And it was cheaper than I expected, too: at first I saw £16.99 and was ready to rant about the ripoff, then it scanned as £9.99 and the clerk told me about the BOGOF. So I went back for the 2nd bottle [hey, it's SPF50+--I can use it myself] and checked the tag. £16.99 was Kids' Soltan.)

Actually, generalise that to all sun-worshippers-or-avoiders: I believe all Soltan is BOGOF.

For those who don't want to be parents, at least yet: 3-for-2 on all Durex. No, I wasn't looking, the display was next to the till!

(*) - that's Buy One Get One Free, aka 2-for-1, in case you don't use the acronym as a single word ;)

Now, if I could catch another offer on Pampers Wipes... (Diaper sales are always tricky; you run the risk of baby being a size up before you finish the packs. But the wipes stay good.

Please pretty please may I be allowed to stay out tomorrow night so I
can watch the England vs South Africa cricket match I promise to be
good?
It's not as if you had dinner planned yet for tomorrow anyway and stuff.

I was nice. I said yes. :-) (But I used it as leverage to get him to stop at Euston WHSmiths and get me the New Yorker--the newsagents in Angel hasn't had it in the past few weeks and I didn't have a chance to go down myself this weekend.)

Well, I just stuck the hose out the window last night (worked till 3am when it came loose and back indoors). The point of the vent end is that it allows a narrower opening for the window so less hot air comes in--but it wasn't actually that hot outdoors, so it worked well enough. (Had the unit on 20C, reported temp on thermometer 20.5--opposite ends of the room though.)

This afternoon I went next door to fetch the vent end. Luckily she hadn't binned it--she did say she was rather puzzled when she discovered it on the patio. Can't blame her! Will have to make sure it's on securely, so if the hose falls back into the room, it comes with it.

Anyone got any ideas for filling in the space around the vent end so it's secure in the opening?
