Is it Mother's Day (celebrating your mother) or Mothers' Day, or Mothers Day (celebrating all mothers)? Or should we go back to Mothering Sunday even if it's more work for Hallmark? If it's just the first, I'm SOL, because Aliza's a little young to do anything. So I'm going with the latter. ;-) Neil says it's a Hallmark holiday. My mother always said "it's an excuse to ignore me the other 364 days of the year". I say, we should remember mothers all the time, but one day for a card and flowers--why not? Of course, SOMEONE tried buying a card at 19:00 last night.... he did get me some chocolate though. Er, mini Lindt bunnies... Oh well!
(to Americans: UK Mothers Day was today...)
Miss Griselda Fusspot has been awake most of the day and rather fussy--not even the car worked 100%! She was fine when we were cruising along, but as soon as traffic slowed us down... WAAAHHH. But she is cute and gave me a big grin so all is OK.
and I have cabbage and noodles! Speaking of noodles, I have Pesach Ostrich Syndrome (if I ignore it, it won't happen). I don't go all out with boiling water, etc, but I do pack up the chametz, clean and cook. It's in just over a week. HAHAHAHAHA. Maybe I'll just kasher the whole flat using libun... think my insurance would cover blowtorching if it's for religious reasons? ;)
