They're gone :-(

I know, they drive me mad, but I'll miss them and not just because they spoil Aliza and let me have naps. It's weird. They're insane but I love them dearly. I suppose that's the definition of 'family'? ;)

Added a couple more photos, and fixed the redirect so the simple, old address works now. Turned out .Mac just didn't like having a refresh time of 0 seconds. (Or alternatively, you can't actually do that at all, and I was mis-remembering correct use of the meta refresh tag. :) ) Making it pause for 1 second solved the problem.

baby-tastic

I just had 10 women and 8 babies (including myself and Aliza--2 of our group haven't given birth yet; oh, and one had just gone to hospital!) round our flat. :) Lots of mommy-talk and mutual admiration, but fun despite that ;) The rugelach were a hit, especially the chocolate ones (I used ground chocolate with a bit of sugar, rather than cocoa and sugar, and they were melty and lovely).

Everyone said Aliza is a really well behaved baby, and they couldn't believe I had time to make all the rugelach so maybe she is really good!

(They weren't hard to do actually--I made the pastry last night and put it in the fridge. Today I rolled it out--SO glad I had my sister get me a pastry cloth as rugelach dough is very sticky--then sprinkled on the filling, cut it into wedges, and rolled them up into crescents. The fillings are all easy to do; the only work was chopping walnuts, which I did by hand so they didn't turn to dust, and the chocolate which I did in the Magimix.)
