my parents took us to Gramercy Tavern tonight. They are very very nice :) Food was just as gorgeous as last time. I should've been more adventurous with the starter but decided to have the sweetbreads again. Plus rabbit (*coughs*) My dad broke with his principles as well and had crab for a starter.
Dessert was a lemon souffle tart: I was the only one not to get something chocolate.
My mother had a large martini and half a bottle of wine and was quite, quite drunk. Neil had a beer, the other half of the wine, and a very generous whisky, and was considerably more sober. My dad and I stayed sober. (Teetotallers unite!)
I ate most of the petits fours they gave us after dessert. And my mother's dessert amuse (I think it was a buttermilk panna cotta, with a fabulously lemony sorbet). Me and my sweet tooth...
