Yay!

Apple to open Brent Cross store

This is very good, as the Regent Street store is overloaded--if you need service you have to book in at 10am sharp (it's same-day only unless you have ProCare).

Brent Cross probably won't take off too much of the load (Bluewater certainly hasn't, and its wait times are negligible), but from a selfish point of view it's fabulous--Brent Cross is about 15 minutes from me :-)

Local library

Just went to the library.

There are 3 depressing things about North Finchley Library:

1) The relative (lack of) space devoted to books;

2) Fiction primarily consists of things that were bestsellers in the past 3-5 years;

3) "Classics" are shelved separately from fiction.

Long Island libraries, I miss you.
