Bloody dollar!

(or possibly bloody pound, I don't know if the dollar's strengthened or the pound's weakened). It's at $1.74 = £1 now. From this side of the pond I was rather enjoying the $1.90+. With that kind of exchange rate, New York becomes cheap!

What you really want, of course, is for the dollar to have a nosedive the week before you convert all your pounds to dollars, then recover ;) I'll pray for that if we ever make plans to move to the US :)

Open University

Just registered for K100, Understanding Health and Social Care. I figure it's a good way to get started (and it gives me a Certificate in Health & Social Care, which might be good for something...)

60 points, so I'm only registering for one course. :) Starts 1 October.
