When I visited home, I brought one of my extra-large bath sheets, because I like big towels and they always seem to disappear there. (I used to hoard mine to prevent this.)
The day I left, my grandma decided to wash it (without asking first). Naturally it wasn't done before I left. Obviously, it's not my only towel, but I'm annoyed nonetheless. It was an extra large, heavyweight bath sheet (180x90cm) from John Lewis. I've looked online and a replacement will cost £26. :( I could try to get them to post it but who knows.
I also seem to have left my glasses there. I usually wear contacts, but if I have to take them out I'm screwed!! I wouldn't mind a new pair of frames--the current ones are 5 years old, and I've resisted replacing them because I don't wear them regularly. But they're expensive, and the lenses are only 6 months old anyway. Hopefully I can get Mom to mail those!!
