more dairy case confusion

US:
whole milk = red (on the carton, obviously)
skim milk = blue

UK:
whole milk = blue
skim milk = red

At least in both countries, green is low-fat (although the US has 2 kinds of low fat, 1% and 2%, and the UK just has semi-skimmed)

On the contrary, Sainsbury's has been doing 1% as well as skimmed and semi-skimmed for some time now. Orange top.

ha, I looked today.

here: 1% = green
2% = orange or purple depending on brand.

confusion reigns!

Bah. Here's how milk should really be classified:

Jersey=tons o' fat=Gold Top
Full cream=Silver Top
Semi-skimmed=Red-and-silver stripy top
Skimmed=Blue-and-silver hatched top

I didn't, just people in South Devon didn't buy it. We like our cream on the top!
