My sister's having problems getting her laptop to connect to the network at my parents' (Neil set up MAC address filtering because my dad's laptop doesn't do WPA... since discovered there's a Windows patch for that.)
Anyway, jen didn't call me back last night. She IM'ed me from work, I said I'd talk her through it tonight. My parents have nearly the same Linksys we have so it should be easy enough. She said she'd be home at 20:30 because she had to go to the gym (never mind making it convenient for me...)
20:45 New York time, she's not IMed me, and whoever's home is letting the answering machine pick up. Argh!
(grrr... she just logged on to AIM and logged right off...)
ETA: Rang her cell, got her, fixed it... but neither she nor my dad could find the list of clients connected, so they couldn't re-enable MAC address filtering. I told my dad to patch his laptop and told him how to set a WPA password. :)
