Oy gevalt.

I just got off the phone with Virgin Atlantic Cargo about shipping Zoe the Wonder Feline.

Outcome: it was a Bad Thing that I booked my flights, because i booked the 23:10 on Sunday. Virgin only ship pets on VS004, the 19:30, Monday to Friday. They have to confirm that the Monday flight is available.

Costs: $11/kg (carrier and cat), plus handling of $125 (includes having cage sealed by vet--no longer required by DEFRA but required by Virgin), with a minimum charge of $225. At Heathrow, I will then be charged £215 by the British government.

Zoe and I must be at the Virgin cargo building by 15:00 the day of the flight. Paperwork will take at least 1 hour.

They're e-mailing me all the paperwork.

Zoe, you are one expensive moggy.

But she is worth every penny! I would pay that three times over to have my kittys with me, even if I had to scrimp and save. I have no idea how I'm going to get them down to London when I move.
