Politics meme from [profile] suzylou

Abortion?:Not in favor of it, but in favor of the legal right to choose it.
Death Penalty?:Anti.
Prostitution?:Legalization sounds like a good idea in theory, but how would you protect prostitutes and prevent exploitation?
Alcohol?:Not to excess.
Marijuana?:It's not good for you, but it's not worse than alcohol, so legalize it.
Other drugs?:Anti, though I'm in favor of prescription heroin for addicts under limited circumstances.
Gay marriage?:Pro. Straights haven't done much for the institution of marriage in recent decades.
Illegal immigrants?:I'd rather they be legal.
Smoking?:It's bad for you.
Drunk driving?:Don't be a moron.
Cloning?:Mmmm, Pandora's Box.
Racism?:Anti.
Premarital sex?:You're not going to hell for it.
Religion?:I believe in it, but I regard it as my own personal business.
The war in Iraq?:Meh.
Bush?:Wrong, but not Satan.
Downloading music?:Not the cause of all the music industry's ills: they should try releasing good music.
The legal drinking age?:21's a bit harsh. On the other hand, 18 doesn't seem to be doing much good in the UK. In the end, it's more about a country's alcohol culture.
Porn?:Not my bag, but kiddie porn and so on aside, no real moral issue with it.
Suicide?:I understand the desire, but it's not a very good solution to anything.

What is your stand on..... brought to you by BZOINK!

It's going to be a lot easier to protect prostitutes if prostitution is legalised than if it's not. You may be more familiar with the law in the UK than I am, but although prostitution is not illegal per se, so many aspects of it are that it may as well be. If brothels were legal, prostitutes would be a lot less vulnerable than they are.
