Easter Schmeaster

pah, bloody Easter. Sorry Christians, it's just that it means most things are closed. It's not the worst day of the year for that (Christmas is) but unless you want to go to the movies, there's nothing to do.

I'm particularly annoyed because yesterday I bought a DVD at Virgin (League ofGentlemen series 1) and there's a nasty skip on it (about 5 minutes are unwatchable and make the DVD player freeze up). When I saw it I thought "Damn, I'll have to take it back and ask for an exchange". Then I realized that today's Easter and I couldn't. Grr.

Also, something that irritates me, don't remember if I've said this before:

Every Easter, ABC shows The Ten Commandments. Why? What does that have to do with Easter? it's about the Exodus--Passover, basically! Is it:

a) Laziness ("It's all religion");

b) a secret plot by Jewish television executives to show a Passover film but have the Christian majority believe it's about Easter;

c) a secret plot by Jewish television executives to remind the Christians that their holiday developed from Passover (the Last Supper was a Passover seder).

Very puzzling.

I never watch it though :)

Zionist plots?

I think you're letting the conspiracy nuts get to you.

It's probably laziness. If laziness explains the rest of TV, why not that little gem of scheduling too?
