This repair may be beyond us. The current problem is this:

It is impossible to get to these screws, and remove them, using a standard precision Phillips. Neither Home Depot nor Radio Shack had a sufficiently small offset Philips.
My options are as follows:
1) Remove display the hard way, which requires full disassembly of the upper case and I am seriously afraid of this;
2) Attempt to find a #0 offset Philips (no luck so far; smallest available seems to be a #1);
3) Call the place I got the screen from (which does do repairs) and ask if I can mail it in and have them do the work. This would cost a lot, especially for all the shipping.
