No one wants to read it and the individual complaints are all petty, so I'll spare you, but man, I am short tempered today and fed up. The last straw was discovering my keys are missing again (she gets them out of my bag, which yes, I should put on a high shelf).

The new trick of going into the pail and getting her dirty nappies out is going to do me in, though. (I am not going to try to find a toddler-proof pail at this point.) I'm not sure which is worse--this, or the socks. Socks get lost. (the ones in the top drawers get removed when I'm changing her diaper, so putting them there is not a solution!)

Because thanks to its whizzy power (OK, it and my blender, which made the crêpe batter) I have whipped up the makings of crêpes Suzette in 5 minutes. It even juiced the oranges for me! The hardest part (ha) was zesting the oranges, and I have a Microplane.

I'll cook the crepes before dinner, then all I have to do is spread them with the butter and heat up. ta-da! (no flambé, sorry. 2 reasons: 1, I am afraid of setting something besides the crêpes on fire; 2, I didn't feel like spending £20 on a bottle of cognac that will never get finished. I had orange liqueur in the house already.)

Speaking of my Magimix: I am pleased and stoked that you can now buy them in the US. only the 5150. It's more expensive than a Cuisinart or KitchenAid but I already have all the discs, so the cost comes out the same or better (I'd have to get all the extra discs and attachments if I bought a KA). So I can get another one after we move. yay! (UK and US electrics are not compatible so I have to sell and replace my gadgets.)
