Autism isn't a particular pet subject of mine, but the Daily Mail is usually so bad in its health/science coverage (I think it's had more MMR scare stories than the other papers put together) that I must commend it for this:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1023351/The-great-autism-rip---How-huge-industry-feeds-parents-desperate-cure-children.html

(Quibble: regressive autism is actually rarer than the article makes it seem. But for the Mail this is absolutely fantastic.)

Nothing to report, I'm afraid. Absolutely nothing doing. Neil has resorted to using CBeebies as a babysitter. *tuts* Now that she pays attention and cries when it goes off, I have a 20 minute limit on it. I should put a similar limit on myself. We watch too much TV.

She's started copying what we say. "Aliza, time for bed." "Beh! Beh!"

I have not had a real life, friendly conversation with anyone to whom I am not related (by blood or marriage) since January.

This should bother me, but in fact I am entirely happy with the current state of affairs.

People are overrated.
