The accessibility guides are all very well and good if you have a wheelchair, but what I really need is a STAIR-free guide! I can manage escalators, but I can't carry her stroller up the stairs. Neil can, but I'm too clumsy--I'm terrified of slipping.

(The trouble is getting to stations on the Circle/District line. Either I have to change at Kings Cross and go all the way around to Westminster, or take the Piccadilly to Earls Court and backtrack, using buses from either. AFAIK these are the only accessible stations.)

Speaking of which, the lifts at Finchley Central look nearly finished. That will be nice. Right now I can get off northbound at West Finchley no problem, but I go to Finchley Central to get on as it only involves going down 1 flight. Someone usually helps me and even if they don't I can usually manage (with a bit of bouncing!)

No energy today. I need to go out but I don't want to. :(

Aliza's also coming down with a cold; she's sniffly and coughing. Or was, before she curled up next to me and went to sleep.

OK, I've wimped out and e-mailed Neil to see about dinner options that don't involve a trip to the supermarket.

1) Our digibox remote was fried in an accident (not involving me in any way, I would like to add) last night. We've ordered a replacement. The website said delivery 2 June, but I was pleasantly surprised when someone rang this this morning to verify our address (Royal Mail post code checker lists our house as 1 dwelling, probably because we only have 1 mail slot) and said it would be sent out recorded delivery today. Phew. We can change channels on the box (annoying, especially if I want to put on CBeebies at #71), but I can't use the recorder!

2) One of our floorboards is really badly damaged--I got a splinter yesterday. Aliza is now not allowed to walk around without Robeez, just in case. Barefoot may be best but I am not picking giant splinters out of her feet. At least she doesn't crawl there.

3) General meh. I've made rice pudding, even though dairy + a cold is not a good combo. Aliza loves it, so that's as good a reason as any. I have to feed it to her because it's messy, but she sucks it off the spoon then smacks her lips. Last time I had some, I think she had about half the cup.
