I'm doing some preliminary research on new cars (my dad brought it up yesterday...) Anyway, I'm reading Consumer Reports. Why is it that they think the number of cup holders is so important that it has to be mentioned in every review? And why the hell does the Honda Odyssey need 11 cup holders?? (it seats 7-8 depending on configuration)
Related whinge: Why can't I get a decent sized car that doesn't have a mahoosive engine in it? Preferably NOT an SUV or minivan either (I briefly considered that, since it's possible we'll have 3 kids within the lifespan of our next car, but then I'd have to drive it for 2-3 years with 1-2 kids. I'll pass. Especially since both the top rated ones have 3.5L engines--very drinky.) Even a Volvo V70 has a 3.2L in the US (UK runs from 2.0 to 3.2, petrol or diesel). The number of larger wagons/estates or mini-MPVs is tiny. Europe has spoilt me. American car manufacturers, get in gear! I want fuel efficiency!
(Not because I'm so eco: I'm just cheap)
