Yes, I'm one of the masses riled up about "How to Cheat".

The thing is that I'm not averse to a few shortcuts. (Ready made pasta sauce? Yes please!) But cobbling together crap out of tins? No way.

There are actually reviewers on Amazon saying this is what time-poor working families need. No, it's not! First of all she recommends very specific ingredients. You'll spend plenty of time and money making sure those are in the house. (So much for her "affordability" comments when she was asked why she doesn't sign up to the free-range chicken movement.) Yes, cooking can take time. Peeling and chopping vegetables takes time. But I'm not sure doctoring up lamb mince from a tin is so quick either. This is just pandering to a fear of cooking. It doesn't have to be hard or time consuming.

(I googled and found another article on her at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/main.jhtml?xml=/health/2004/05/19/hbaby19.xml)

I can't help it, I'm ANGRY at that woman. And at the social services who think it's a better idea to place a baby in foster care than help the parents to keep her.
