I just found the list of proposed Post Office closures for London. Our little branch is on the chopping block :-( I was afraid it might be--it's a tiny place with only one window. As well as being super convenient for posting things, it's where Parcelforce leave packages. I loved that--if I missed the delivery, it was at the local post office that same day and I could pick it right up.

Interestingly enough, the little High Road branch that serves as North Finchley's Parcelforce depot (or did--I had to trek out there to get a parcel and it was very inconvenient) is also on the list. Wonder if they'll just use the Royal Mail sorting offices? THat wouldn't be so bad for North Finchley (their sorting office is open until 18:00) but would suck for me (Finchley's sorting office closes at 12:30).

This afternoon we had Nap War (where she was very tired and grizzly and rubbing her eyes but WOULD NOT SLEEP). I finally got her to sleep. Then the buzzer rang (for nothing of any importance), she woke up and I got to do it all over again.
