I just had 2 crowns glued back on. It took less than 10 minutes, and cost me £42! I had to have it done as they were front crowns and kept popping off.
(I have an NHS dentist but had to pay privately. I think it would have been at least band 2 anyway, which is £43.60. Band 1 is only diagnosis. Normally crowns are Band 3, but it would be ludicrous to charge £194 for some cement.)
When the Independent did its thing on dental prices recently a minister wrote in and said "the majority of dental work is still done on the NHS". I wonder how much work simply isn't done because people can't afford to pay prices like this!
