Rapists go free in Australia as judge says 10 year old "probably agreed" to sex
How the hell can the West condemn Saudi Arabia when shit like this still happens?! A 10 year old girl (who, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, is mentally impaired) cannot consent to sex. Period.
A big share of blame needs to go to the prosecutors who supposedly didn't recommend custodial sentences. (Although the judge is trying to pass the buck by placing the blame on them--they may have restricted her sentencing choices, but they surely didn't make her say that the kid agreed--which is legally irrelevant!)
