We have to put the geek into everything we do, right? Or at least I do.
At the moment I want to get her a Baby Tux shirt from ThinkGeek (As well as being mini, Tux has a binky and nappy [how's that for mixing my English]. My pedantic nature, however, has noticed that they simply shrunk an adult penguin. Actual penguin chicks have black and white heads, but fluffy grey bodies.)
Yesterday, when I was exasperated by Aliza's constant attempts to hijack my laptop (and pull keys off it) I said to Neil "we've got to get a dead laptop off eBay so she can destroy it and not mine". Note that I did not say toy plastic laptop. Oh no. Real laptop! (Speaking of which, anyone know where to get a dead aluminum PowerBook cheap? I was originally thinking ancient ThinkPad, but it might not be as appealingly shiny...)
And the only thing stopping me from buying her Giant Microbes instead of traditional stuffed animals is that I think they're probably not safe for under-3s. (Actually she'll get real animals as well, because we all know I like stuffed animals... but I think Giant Microbes are way cool.)
