My sister sent me an e-mail from work. At the bottom there's a banner--an image of a tree with the message "Please consider the environment before choosing to print this e-mail."

Well, that's lovely. Except Jen works for a major publishing company. Her job is magazine ad sales. She's one of the people responsible for the expansion of women's magazines through ever-increasing pages of ads. Her company is doing far more to destroy the environment than people printing e-mail!
