Yesterday's Independent Letters to the Editor really took the cake. Someone referred to Jewish immigrants to Palestine from 1918-1947 as "Zionist 'boat people' ". (Quotes his.) Whatever you think of the establishment of Israel, the callousness of the letter was unbelievable. Ugh.
