More clever baby

I got her a pair of shoes (well, Robeez, which are like bootees). I figured these would be harder for her to pull off than just socks (she gets cold feet if she wears nothing outside, unless it's actually really hot, which it hasn't been!) and other mums have said they're great for that. They're a bit big on her length-wise but that's fine as she's not walking. The ankle elastic seemed fine--not loose. I was finally driven to this last week by her repeatedly pulling her socks off in public and nearly losing one. If I hadn't had to go back to Snappy Snaps, that sock would've been gone.

So we had our first outing with them yesterday. First she tried eating them. (nothing quite like seeing your kid with her foot in her mouth). Then, after quite a bit of effort, she got one off. Very clever. Took a lot longer than just a sock, though, and I wasn't stopping every 10 minutes to pull her socks up.

I'm also impressed at her ability to grin without letting go of her binky.

The KitKat wrapper is maintaining its place as a source of amusement.

Oh yes, the Robeez are lion ones, very cute:

Yay!

I got my mobile working... did a bit of googling, someone suggested taking the memory stick out and charging it, and that worked. Phew. It was annoying not having a mobile for a week....

Baby life

You get the baby ready to go out.

You put the baby down while you get dressed. You turn around to get your clothes. When you turn back around a minute later, the baby has puked sour milk up over herself, her clothes, and your duvet cover... and she's looking pleased with herself.

(Don't worry Chick, she was in the centre of a very big bed with pillows blocking her off! She wouldn't have tolerated being left in the living room, so the bed was actually the best place for her to be. :) )

Hmm

I bought a new bottle of lemon Fairy liquid a few days ago. Or "lemon twister" as it's labelled.

It doesn't smell lemony. I finally pinpointed the smell--it's like a mix of lemon and passionfruit. Ugh.

I WANT MY LEMON SCENT BACK!!!

(Really, wtf? I'm sure I've been buying this "lemon twister" Fairy for a while and I've never noticed this passionfruity smell before. And I would have. I'm used to lemon scented dish soap. Period.)

At least the dishwasher Fairy is still regular lemon.
