Today we have lotus birthers! (If you really want to know, google it, I'm not subjecting my flist to the explanation)

I was so pleased, someone actually spoke up AGAINST a "natural" practice. And the woman's midwife on why the Apgars went up?! Good lord, that's just giving ammunition for those who say that direct entry midwives are ill-trained (I'm very skeptical about some DEMs, I've heard of too many who were willing to do things that really could have turned out badly. I'd love my next birth to be with a CNM [certified nurse midwife] but the quality of DEMs just seems very, very variable.)
