Aliza's white onesies are all slightly blue tinged. I can't work out what's caused it. I've washed them with Oxyclean, without it, with the all-natural detergent without any optical brighteners... no result! (slightly less bluish but not perfect).

(I don't want to use chlorine bleach because some of them have coloured bits)

I've also been annoyed by an idiot who said that all SAHMs are lazy, selfish, and bad parents. (This was a general discussion, nothing personal about me.) And the "it doesn't pay to work" argument doesn't fly because your husband should be paying half the childcare. I pointed out that it doesn't matter which column it comes out of, the net effect is the same. (X-D) + Y is the same as (X+Y) - D. Anyway, we're all lazy sponges (because the only contribution that matters is financial) and we're all going to be horribly screwed when our husbands leave us for women they meet at work.

Aliza just tried to grab my bottle of Coke and even made a move to drink from it!

(She isn't getting any. For years. If my parents/grandma hadn't given me Coke at the age of about 2, I wouldn't like it so much now!)

Also, uploaded a couple new pics of her from the weekend. She's almost smiling in one ;) (I look like a whale, though. Minus the blowhole, etc.)

http://www.diaperware.com/productpage/llamajama.htm

(they don't ship to the UK, this is probably good for my finances. My mother saw Aliza's shorties and hated them. Tough! My daughter, I can dress her like a hippie if I feel like it :-P And she used to knit us sweaters, too.)

they have their own website: http://www.llamajama.com/products/catalog.php?category=1

Of course, since it's all hand knit, they don't always have everything in stock.

Alpaca longies... mm... now those would be soft!

One of these days I'll learn to knit. Maybe by the time baby #3 comes around I'll be able to knit their diaper covers :)

Annoying thing (from the diaperware site): the name "moon cloth" for cloth sanitary napkins. It's even worse than "mama cloth".

Oh, and the euphemism "family cloth" for cloth wipes (in lieu of toilet paper). The concept is bad enough, the euphemism makes it 10 times worse. Anyway (if I haven't said so before) I think the best solution would be a bidet. :P
