Feeding is fun. The trouble is that Aliza wants to feed herself, but can't very well. According to devout self-feeders/BLWers, we should just leave her to it. Unfortunately for that theory, she wants the food, and if I left her to it she'd cry from frustration. So I mush it up a bit (not a smooth puree, I want her to get used to texture) and use a spoon. Now that she's used to the spoon, though, she wants to grab it. Our compromise is that she grabs it, I (or Neil) keeps a grip on it too, and we guide it into her mouth. It seems to work. Maybe her coordination will develop a bit more and she'll be able to get the food in her mouth. OK, some of the food. :)

She loves making a mess with it. Today was parsnip and carrot. All I can say is... at least she hasn't learnt to smoosh it in her hair yet. Be grateful for small things.

I'm taking her to the GP though because her head doesn't seem to be improving--her flat spot is still really bad. :-( She does move in her sleep now, but she still sleeps flat on her back and won't sleep any other way. She can't stay on her side very long and hates being on her tummy.
