When Aliza's in her stroller and I'm not paying attention to her (we were shopping), she makes lots of noise. Not crying, just loud aaa-aaah-aaa noises. I KNOW it's for attention too--when I start paying attention again she shuts up!
Other trick: Looking at nearby people and grinning at them in an effort to get them to pay attention to her. When she gets the desired results, she's a very happy girl: big grins and lots of laughs. She's usually successful too because (unless you're a serious child hater) it's hard to resist a big toothless smile.
She is a very smiley baby generally and it's so cute. (Proud mommy moment) But I do have to laugh at the way she mugs for attention sometimes.
