Your Score: Longcat

70 % Affection, 27 % Excitability , 42 % Hunger

Protector of truth.

Slayer of darkness.

Loooooong.

Longcat may seem like just a regular lengthy cat, but he is, in fact, looong. For proof, observe the longpic.

It is prophesized that Longcat and his archnemesis Tacgnol will battle for supremacy on Caturday. The outcome will change the face of the world, and indeed the very fabric of lolcatdom, forever.

Be grateful that the test has chosen you, and only you, to have this title.

I threw on a load of clothes before going to bed last night. During the dry cycle it beeped with an error. I was tired, so I just turned it off and decided to deal with it in the morning.

So, this morning, troubleshooting. During drying it comes up with an E10 error, which according to the manual, means water supply issues or a closed tap. The weird thing is, the clothes washed just fine, and I tried a rinse cycle and that worked too--surely if there was a closed tap or supply issue, it wouldn't?

bah, calling Service Force... (authorised AEG repair). We're out of warranty, natch!

I ordered 6 medium Hemparoos.

Today they arrived. Or rather, they didn't: I got 6 smalls.

I definitely ordered 6 mediums: I checked the e-mail receipt.

This is going to be annoying to return, I got them from the US :-(

Aliza has been resisting naps all morning (normally she has a nice long one). Nothing has induced her to take one, despite visible tiredness (she's got a way of rubbing her face that always means "I'm tired").

Worse, we're going out in 45 minutes. PLEASE, get half an hour sleep now.. I know she'll sleep when I take her out. Unfortunately, it will be on me--it's a NINO meeting, first of all (not that you get funny looks for using a buggy, as part of the reason for the meetings is to interest women who aren't into it yet, but I want to wear her there), and two, both West Finchley and Archway have lots of stairs. The cuddling aspect of wearing her while asleep is nice; the drool less so.

Now she's crying/grizzling. You're tired, bubba, HAVE A NAP!!

(she's been fed, changed, cuddled, sang to.... the only thing she wants is to sit in my lap and play with my laptop's power cord :( )

(sorry, sorry... *ducks tomatoes*)

Anyway, while YOU were stuck in an office, I was sitting on Hampstead Heath in glorious sunshine, playing with babies and showing off carriers :) It was quite crunchtastic, I think I was the only bottle feeder present!

Very nice, and Aliza was well behaved except for a bit where she was overtired.

Side note: Aliza does not like being deprived of her new favourite toy, the laptop power cord.

So I got a reply from BabyKicks about the Hemparoos. Turns out someone from the company will be in London early next week so he'll post it from here, which will be faster. And they gave me an address here to return them to, which will be a lot cheaper... not that it matters because they'll refund me the postage (I'll probably tell them not to bother, it will be like a pound).

Still, great service, they are forgiven. ;-)

I think this will replace the page at http://www.thebabywearer.com/articles/HowTo/WrapLinks.htm when it's finished...

I do wonder how much fabric it would take for me to do a full Taiwanese back carry if a "medium" person (who would take 4.6m in a front wrap cross, whereas I take 5.2) needs 5m+! Most wraps top out at 5.2, the Hoppediz is 5.4 and you can get the size 8 Didymos (5.7m) by special order. I do have an 8, so I could do the wiggleproof when she gets older :) (At her age, a back wrap cross is a better idea).
Mood:: 'geeky' geeky

Today Aliza has been blowing raspberries. She did one right at me!

Her laugh is also progressing from a kind of snorty noise to a real laugh. And boy, does she find a lot of things funny. Like sweet potatoes. They're very funny. Especially when she grabs the spoon, gets a handful of sweet potato, and makes a mess with it. We just had to give her a bath. The kitchen got a bath too.
