There are things that America could and should adopt from Europe/the UK.
e.g.:
- The metric system
- Liquid detergent capsules (more expensive per load, no doubt, but it means your laundry impaired spouse/roommate/whatever can do laundry competently)
- Mini-MPVs
I'm sure there are more but I've lost my train of thought.
Oh, you can now get front-loading, high efficiency, self-heating washing machines in the US (in American sizes too!) so the US is catching up on that front. :) (When I first moved here I hated the small size and long cycles, then I grew to appreciate how much better front loaders clean, and it's great being able to get a really hot wash, especially for diapers. Now I just miss having a bigger capacity ;) )
