There are things that America could and should adopt from Europe/the UK.

e.g.:
- The metric system
- Liquid detergent capsules (more expensive per load, no doubt, but it means your laundry impaired spouse/roommate/whatever can do laundry competently)
- Mini-MPVs

I'm sure there are more but I've lost my train of thought.

Oh, you can now get front-loading, high efficiency, self-heating washing machines in the US (in American sizes too!) so the US is catching up on that front. :) (When I first moved here I hated the small size and long cycles, then I grew to appreciate how much better front loaders clean, and it's great being able to get a really hot wash, especially for diapers. Now I just miss having a bigger capacity ;) )

There's nothing like having one of your crowns come off... while you're eating. Ugh.

At least it was at the upper back (2nd molar, as far as you can go when your wisdom teeth are gone) so it doesn't show. I'll call the dentist tomorrow so I can have it glued back in ASAP (I don't think it's good for the ground-down tooth to be exposed, whether it's visible or not!)

I apologise for the gory details... wait, no I don't.
