Can't get one till next Wednesday. Then I have to wait for the results to get to my GP, then get an appointment which will take ages unless I want to waste an emergency slot so I can discuss the results--I'm not having this nonsense with the receptionist telling me "normal". I want to know what reference ranges they're using.

At this rate I'll be half bald before I get this sorted. At least the weight gain usually stops (generally speaking you gain 20-30 lbs, then plateau--the trick is that you can't shake it until your levels are adjusted). I'd love to stop feeling exhausted, though. (I bet the first thing the GP says when I tell him how tired I am is "well, of course you're tired, you have a 6 month old". At which point I will have to explain that she sleeps like a rock and so do I--ALL THE TIME.)

Today's somewhat icky discovery, through research: for some patients they still prefer the old Armour thyroid extract which comes from pigs. Apparently not all patients can convert Synthroid (synthetic T4) into T3.

instead of taking out boneless chicken breasts, I took out thighs. I'm not as keen on dark meat in stir fry (I don't know why). Hmm. We had broiled chicken on Saturday. And Monday. I can't refreeze them (duh) and I don't have time to defrost anything else (if I'd noticed earlier I would have swapped it with tomorrow's meat loaf, but the meat won't defrost in time and trying to microwave-defrost ground beef is a PITA.)

I was actually looking forward to a nice healthy (ish, if you don't count the salt in the soya sauce) stir fry with lots of veggies in it. Maybe I'll risk the thighs anyway... chicken is chicken right?

(Postscript to previous dinner dilemma: We had a takeaway and the lamb chops were eaten last night, with rice. Although I thought I had a full bag of basmati but didn't--I had about half a cup, oops--so it was risotto, which doesn't quite go with lamb, but oh well.)

Anyhoo, done all the diapers, just put in a load of sheets, did dishes. Off to Waitrose to get the veg for dinner shortly. Er, once I feed the bubba, as I've just realised it's been about 4hrs.

iTunes says I have 2592 songs in my library.

I distinctly remember having over 2600 some time ago. So... where did they go?

*goes to check backups*

ETA: Doh! I forgot, my old iTrip had all the stations as iTunes tracks; my new one doesn't. Realised this AS i was adding in everything from my backup--sure enough when I did that I went up to 2700+ songs. The iTrip software adds 103 tracks.
