Can't get one till next Wednesday. Then I have to wait for the results to get to my GP, then get an appointment which will take ages unless I want to waste an emergency slot so I can discuss the results--I'm not having this nonsense with the receptionist telling me "normal". I want to know what reference ranges they're using.
At this rate I'll be half bald before I get this sorted. At least the weight gain usually stops (generally speaking you gain 20-30 lbs, then plateau--the trick is that you can't shake it until your levels are adjusted). I'd love to stop feeling exhausted, though. (I bet the first thing the GP says when I tell him how tired I am is "well, of course you're tired, you have a 6 month old". At which point I will have to explain that she sleeps like a rock and so do I--ALL THE TIME.)
Today's somewhat icky discovery, through research: for some patients they still prefer the old Armour thyroid extract which comes from pigs. Apparently not all patients can convert Synthroid (synthetic T4) into T3.
