Size 8 is LONG! I've got really long tails... definitely won't get a 2nd till I'm better at wrapping because then I'll know if I can get away with a 7 (right now I could barely tie a 7 in some of the carries--when I mentioned on a forum that I had a blue Millefiori that wasn't quite right, someone piped up that she really wanted it, so I sold it--I lost more than I thought I was because i didn't realise how much the euro had gone up, but hey! I did use it so I couldn't return it.) A 7 is 5.2m, an 8 is 5.7; right now I need about 5.5 ;) I do want a wool-blend katja but they're out of stock till September anyway :( Shame, because apparently the wool is surprisingly light and thin.
Aliza is much better with the wrap than the sling (once her legs are in the proper frog position--she's not so keen on being adjusted in it! But I'll get faster at it). She's nice and secure and can move her head around. So far it's only been front carries, although once I get comfortable I want to do back ones. It's amazing how well the baby is supported--it doesn't strain your back or shoulders at all. I think I may be becoming a wrap convert :-) [f/x: Neil shudders]
