Theme of last night's dinner: Welsh lamb, Jersey Royal new potatoes, English asparagus. Yum! Also had English strawberries for after but ddn't eat them.

(Don't quibble over the legal status of the Channel Islands, please! For these purposes Jersey shall be counted as British.)

I noticed it was an Amazon Baby top seller and had a look at the reviews. About 2/3 of them said the same thing I experienced--it's just not accurate. It always reads at least 2C higher than it really is, and it seems to be oblivious to open windows.

I still use it, but not as designed--if it's orange, the room's about right, and if it's yellow, it's verging on cold :) The one time I saw it at 17.5, I was absolutely freezing. Either the Egg isn't right, or every other thermometer is wrong.

Thinking of getting Aliza one as she'll be higher up, and she'll enjoy it of course.

This one looks good, but is really a bit expensive:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher-Price-Smart-Stages-3-1/dp/B000E5T246/ref=sr_1_6/026-1202916-1770051?ie=UTF8&s=kids&qid=1179251039&sr=1-6

On the one hand, lasts longer as it converts to a toddler rocker. OTOH will she want it as much when she's that big? Hmm.

What's annoying s that I first saw it on the Fisher-Price US site. Their RRP is $80. That's HALF the f***ing price!! I'd buy it in the US if it weren't so big; we'd never get it home on the plane.
