I've just had my wisdom teeth out. The IV sedation did very little (except make me more prone to crying). I needed a shedload of local anaesthesia and I felt the whole thing :( Oh for a general, but I didn't want to wait. I last had IV sedation a long time ago, and I don't remember it being this ineffective. I preferred the knock-out. Thank G-d I'm done with my wisdom teeth. if I ever need the surgeon again it will be for an apicoectomy and that should be less unpleasant.
My BP readings were worryingly high post-op (diastolic 100-105 which is VERY high for me) so I have to ring the GP as well.
Luckily Neil stayed home from work as I was told I wasn't fit to look after a 4 month old today.
I have just had nurofen and paracetamol and I am going to bed.
