I am thanking G-d that they were not this busy when I was in... at least not on the ward. The delivery suite was a nightmare--I was left alone in Recovery holding the baby for hours and I couldn't put her down because of my epidural.
I was shifted to Transitional earlier than is probably advised (it's technically a discharge, and normally they don't do that after 36 hours!) but I think they did it for good reasons, not to get my bed back.
