My order was dispatched on the 16th by first class post, estimated delivery of 17-18 April. It still hadn't arrived today. The help page says to give it 3 days past the latest estimated date, then e-mail them. I quote:
"Please wait three days after the estimated delivery date before contacting us about a missing order. You can find your estimated delivery date in Your Account."
So I did. I got a canned reply including the following:
"It's been our experience that the majority of late packages arrive just a day or two after the estimated delivery date. Therefore, we would like to ask that you wait until close of business on April 24, 2007 for your order to arrive."
Yes, I gave it a day or two. I gave it 3 days, LIKE YOU SAID!
Should I send them a snotty e-mail asking for a little consistency, or not? If they didn't want an enquiry until 24 April, they should ask for 6 days, not 3. Aside from which, it should not take a WEEK for something to arrive by first class post.
I would like to note that I only ever have problems with Amazon.co.uk. Amazon.com is just fine. I ordered something from them on the 13th and got it Wednesday!
