My junior/senior year of high school (I skipped 11th grade), my mother took me to Boston for college tours and interviews. My sister Jen (a sophomore at the time) didn't want to go. My mother let her stay on the condition that she stay at her friend Sara's for the weekend, not alone at home.
Well, you can imagine what happened. Jen told some of her friends to come over... and she made the mistake of telling them her parents wouldn't be home. The news spread, and 200+ people showed up, including the police. Windows were smashed, dozens of my CDs were stolen, and someone puked in the washing machine. Even people I was friends with (
cjbroz was there) showed up, which says quite a bit as Jen and I were never friends with the same kind of people.
My mother found out about it when we were driving home (she had a car phone and called Jen, who always was a crappy liar). That made the rest of the drive exceptionally fun...
